It's widely accepted in the Madden neighborhood which buying packs coins are almost never a good idea, since EA makes certain the odds you actually find equivalent or higher value out of it are slim to none. That makes actual money the very popular way to buy these packs, as their customers endlessly put their hard-earned money into a match which has shown time and again not to care about their customers. Well wait, how can you say they don't care? Well, there is one simple but telling example. In Madden, there's something called"limited time" cards, which are exactly what it sounds like. Essentially, EA will launch a new card but the one way that it can be acquired is by opening packs, along with the likelihood of it coming out of these packs are adjacent to nill. Therefore, the ones that are pulled go on the auction housemore than the Madden player can also come close to affording.
In Madden, I opened over 1,000 packs. How many of these did I pull? One. My buddy, who probably opened around the same amount as me, got none. I will explain that I simply kept coins real cash, because I couldn't stand to give any more of my money to them. Kept me coming back for more, although I almost never won. Sound familiar? What's the big deal, it is just a couple of cards that are tough to get, but that's not the end of the world, right? Well, it more than just a few cards. Name a big name star in the NFL, both past and present, and there is a chance they got a limited time card. Aaron Donald? Limited. George Kittle? Limited. Spiritual McCaffery? Limited.
You will find at this point over 100 limited-time cards which have come into Madden, and they're almost always a big-name Madden player. Meaning that Madden players like Deion Sanders, Michael Vick, Randy Moss, Troy Polamalu, Travis Kelce, Ezekiel Elliott, Joe Thomas, Calvin Johnson and plenty of others are essentially stuck behind a paywall. EA makes sure you're gon na need to give them money so you can get them if you want these cards. You had to have been anticipating this right? Isn't it the same every year? Not like this. In previous years, you could essentially (it is slightly more complex but I'm not likely to get into it) purchase the card using a different kind of in-game currency. That way, if you were not lucky enough to get a version of it, you might possess that Madden player on your team. This year, that option is off the table.
They chose to release that card back to packs sometimes over a whole month after it originally came to Madden. Does it make it more economical? Slightly, but as is the case with many of the cards, the chances are very small. By now that their values are low enough for ordinary Madden players to be able to afford them, it's for a reason. They are no longer as good as they were when they were released, being overtaken by rated cards. This epitomizes their cover to win version. Want the great Madden players? You better be happy to cover, otherwise, you'll have them if they're no longer good. Except he had been behind a paywall michael Vick was released 3 months before.
